Certain anodes are subject to cavitation. Cavitation may cause these anodes to consume more rapidly.
All anodes should be inspected on a regular basis so as to ensure the vessel is fully protected.
Self sacrificing characteristics of zinc and aluminum are in wide spread use as galvanic anodes for cathodic protection of marine craft, ballast, sea water piers, dry docks, heat exchangers and structures, providing low cost protection against corrosion.
Reliance zinc anodes are produced in alloy meeting U.S. mil spec MIL-A-18001 as per chart.
Reliance aluminum anodes are produced in alloy as per chart.
